On one condition

A speaking game to practise the first conditional:

The teacher begins with a sentence, for example “If I go out tonight, I’ll go to my friend’s house.”

The next person in the circle must use the end of the previous sentence to begin their own sentence.

eg “If I go to see my friends, I’ll watch play the Wii.”

The next person could say, “If I play the Wii, I’ll shout a lot.”

Then, “If I , ……………….” etc etc

You can do it with all conditionals :

”If I was rich, I’d buy a mansion.”

”If I bought a mansion, I’d need a butler.”

The students should sit in a circle- good activity to finish off a lesson on conditionals.
